These terms apply to the Vehicle Doc Lanka Android app and its optional email reminder service, provided by Brahmiraj Tharmapalan, Sri Lanka. By using the app you agree to them. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. What the app is
- Vehicle Doc Lanka is a personal tool for organising your vehicle documents and reminding you before they expire.
- It is not an official government service and is not affiliated with the Department of Motor Traffic, any insurance company or any VET centre.
- The app is free to use.
2. You stay responsible for renewals
- Reminders, renewal guidance and the lists of VET centres and insurance providers are provided for convenience. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.
- Reminders can fail to arrive (for example if notifications are turned off, your phone is off, or an email is filtered as spam).
- You remain responsible for renewing your documents on time and for checking details with official sources.
3. Your information and account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- Keep your phone, app lock and password secure. Your documents are stored on your phone, so if you lose the phone or uninstall the app without a backup, that data may be lost.
- You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account.
4. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to access other people's accounts or data;
- interfere with, overload or try to break the service;
- use the service to send spam or for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.
5. No warranty
The app and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brahmiraj Tharmapalan is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app — including fines, penalties or costs from expired documents, missed reminders, inaccurate information or lost data.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
